Professions

Beta caveat: Forever launches 5 November 2026; all of this comes from beta builds (latest notes 15 October). [Classic-based] = Classic Era data Forever may change; [Unconfirmed] = still to check at launch.

How professions work in WoW Forever

Classic's fixed recipes stay (same mats, same item), plus 600+ new recipes, camp objects, Scarce materials, Merchant's Favor crates and Legacy perks.

Training levels

Big changes at a glance

• Legacy points: one per crafting profession at 150, 225 and 300.
• Camp objects: three per profession (first at 20; advanced blueprints from dungeon bosses), e.g. Blacksmithing's Sharpening Wheel (Attack Power), Tailoring's Faction Banner (Spirit), Herbalism's Incense Candle (Intellect), Leatherworking's Tanning Rack.
• Scarce materials: three per gatherer, boosted by Bountiful Harvest; Skinning's: Pristine Leather, Hide and Scale.
• Merchant's Favor: fill Waylaid Crates, spend on patterns.
• Gathering manuals: a starter-zone quest teaches Herbalism, Mining or Skinning.
