WoW Forever Auction House Guide: How the Shared AH Works
Beta caveat: Forever launches 5 November 2026; all of this comes from beta builds (latest notes 15 October). [Classic-based] = Classic Era data Forever may change; [Unconfirmed] = still to check at launch.
One auction house per ruleset, faction and region
Realmless servers mean one auction house per ruleset + faction + region (e.g. all Alliance PvP players in the Americas). Oceanic players reportedly share the US market. Undercutting is fast: post in batches, check prices each session.
Beta changes
- A new equip level column.
- Items with random suffixes show their stats in the listing.
What to sell
- Pristine Leather and other Scarce materials.
- Raw leather, ore and herbs in stacks suitable for Waylaid Crates.
- Tanning Racks and armour kits.
When to post from Australia
On the US market, Sydney late morning–afternoon = US evening peak buying; overnight Sydney (US early morning) brings cheaper listings.
The Commerce Authority auctioneer
Auctioneer Quickcoin, Three Corners, Redridge (about 9.7, 72.0). Wowhead says it links to the Alliance city AHs, but a commenter got sale mail from Blackwater (neutral). [Unconfirmed]: listings there may not reach your faction market.

Posting tips
- Sell crate-sized bundles (20 leather/ore/bars, 40 cloth) so buyers fill a Waylaid Crate in one buy.
- Hides and raw cooking materials stack to 20.
- Pristine Leather and the Scarce gathering materials (Pyrite, Bauxite, Pitchblende; Frilled Lichen, Rosecap, Stranglevine) have no confirmed sources yet: expect thin supply.
- Wand vendor prices were cut 8 October; don't price wands off them.
Classic-based: deposits and the house cut
[Classic-based]: Forever's fees aren't published; plan margins conservatively and check in game.
| Rule | Classic behaviour |
|---|---|
| Deposit | Based on vendor price and duration; refunded on sale, lost if unsold or cancelled |
| House cut | 5% of winning bid; you get bid × 0.95 plus deposit by mail |
| Cancel with a bid | Lose deposit and pay a fee equal to the cut on the current bid |
| Own auctions | No character on the same account can bid, any faction |
| Stacks | Buyers can't split; list in recipe sizes |

Classic patch 1.9 linked each faction's capital AHs, and the neutral ones together.
Selling tips that still apply
- Check vendors before buying on the AH.
- Never list below vendor price.
- Always set a buyout.
- Don't flood one item; post a few, vendor the rest.
Who you are trading with
Blizzard: each ruleset (Normal, PvP, Roleplaying, later fully enclosed Hardcore) is separate, and factions stay apart. PvP allows one faction only, so no cross-faction alt transfers; Normal and Roleplaying allow both.
Forever materials to watch
- Pristine Leather is a Scarce skinning material in 126 recipes; the Tanning Rack doesn't make it. Bountiful Harvest: +20% Scarce yield per rank.
- Station materials: each Tanning Rack takes 5 Medium Leather, each Spinning Wheel 5 Bolt of Silk Cloth; each lasts 15 minutes.
- Merchant's Favor crates divert raw materials from the AH (20 leather fills a Textiles crate). See Merchant's Favor.
