WoW Forever Enchanting Guide 1-300: Route, New Formulas & Changes
Data note: beta client build 1.60.1.70291, datamined by Classic WoW Forever. May change before launch on 5 November 2026.
What changed from Classic
215 formulas in the beta client: 152 Classic, 63 new (27 at Artisan). 95 formulas use different materials, so Classic shopping lists are wrong. Enchant Bracer – Inferior Stamina now greys at 25 (was 110) and Minor Wizard Oil greys at 65 and can be learned at 5 skill. New materials include Cerulean and Magenta Dye, Malleable Essence of Nature and Pyrite. New 300-skill crafts include relics such as Idol of Swiftness, Libram of Infusion and Totem of Urgency.
Training ranks
| Rank | Skill cap | Train at |
|---|---|---|
| Apprentice | 75 | Level 5 |
| Journeyman | 150 | 50 skill, level 10 |
| Expert | 225 | 125 skill, level 20 |
| Artisan | 300 | 200 skill, level 35 |
Each rank needs both the skill and the character level shown, as in Classic. Trainer names and costs aren't re-checked for Forever yet, so ask the trainer in your capital. You get one Legacy point the first time you reach 150, 225 and 300.

Legacy perks that help
| Perk | Ranks | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Working Overtime | 5 | +4% skill-up chance per rank (max 20%) |
| Dedicated Study | 1 | +1 skill to your lowest primary or secondary tradeskill; 25 s cast, 23 h cooldown |
| Performance Bonus | 3 | 5/10/15% chance of double Merchant's Favor on a crate turn-in |
Rods, oils and wands
Runed Copper Rod is one of the 95 changed formulas, so check its tooltip. Minor Wizard Oil is learnable at 5 (was 45) and vendors for 1 silver. Blizzard's 8 October notes cut nine crafted wands' vendor prices (Greater Eternal Wand 25s, Lesser Magic Wand 1s 10c, Novice's Practice Wand 5c), so oils and wands are skill-ups or gear, not vendor income. Beta figures via Classic WoW Forever; may change.
Tips
- Enchant Bracer – Inferior Stamina uses a Mote of Magic in Forever's tooltip. Where Motes come from isn't confirmed yet.
- Dust carries most of the route: Strange, Soul, Vision, then Dream Dust. Disenchant your own green items as you level.

FAQ
What does Enchant Shield – Greater Stamina cost?
6 Dream Dust per enchant, per Wowhead's Forever tooltip.
Do enchants need a target item?
In Classic you enchant an item to gain skill; the Forever behaviour isn't re-checked here.
