WoW Forever Herb Farming: Best Zones for Every Herb (1–300)

Every herb in Forever spawns only in certain zones and in a certain kind of spot, such as under water or near graveyards. This page lists where to farm each herb, the skill needed to pick it, and the best zone for each skill band. For the full skill route, see the Herbalism guide.

This is Wowhead's Forever route, updated 24 Oct 2026. It covers skill 1 to 225.

Wowhead does not give a zone route above 225 yet. Felwood, Un'Goro Crater, the Plaguelands and Winterspring hold most of the herbs from 225 to 300, going by its zone lists below. [Unconfirmed]

Extra loot while you farm
- Some herbs can also give Swiftthistle (from Mageroyal and Briarthorn), Frilled Lichen (from low herbs up to Stranglekelp) or Wildvine (from Purple Lotus). Wowhead says its list of extra drops is not complete. [Unconfirmed]
- Players report getting Commonplace Herb Seeds from Peacebloom and Earthroot in Dun Morogh. This comes from a Wowhead comment, not the guide. [Unconfirmed]
- Forever adds three endgame herbs: Marefoil, Demonsage and Death Lotus. Where they spawn is not known yet. [Unconfirmed]
- The Lotus Claw glove enchant gives a small chance at Death Lotus from any herb you pick in Hyjal.
Pick higher herbs sooner
Herbalism boosts stack, up to +25 in total. With a +5 boost you can pick an herb that needs 5 more skill than you have.

Tips for farming
- Tauren Cultivation now copies a nearby herb, so Tauren get more herbs from each run.
- Druids can use Travel Form and Prowl to avoid fights. Hunter and Warlock pets can hold mobs while you pick.
- You can only track one resource at a time, so Herbalism plus Mining means swapping between trackers.
- The Bountiful Harvest Legacy perk raises Scarce material yield by 20% per rank, up to 5 ranks.
FAQ
Where should I farm Black Lotus?
Winterspring, Silithus, Burning Steppes and Eastern Plaguelands. It needs skill 300.
Where is Wintersbite?
Only in the snow of Alterac Mountains.
Where do the new Forever herbs spawn?
Nobody has confirmed the spawns for Marefoil, Demonsage or Death Lotus yet. The Lotus Claw enchant ties Death Lotus to Hyjal.
