WoW Forever talent changes
Forever keeps the Classic talent layout and the same number of rows, but changes how milestones and buff talents work (Blizzard: Deep Dive panel recap).
What changed
| Change | Detail |
|---|---|
| Milestone talents | One-point milestones at 11, 21 and 31 points, plus a new 16-point milestone |
| Buff talents baseline | Talents that gave key class buffs are now baseline, e.g. Divine Spirit, Blessing of Kings and Improved Mark of the Wild |
| Kept talents | Some stay exactly as in patch 1.12; others are adjusted or improved |
| Talented (Legacy perk) | Unlock talent points up to 5 levels earlier |

Talent milestones while levelling
| Points in a tree | What happens | Level reached Classic Era baseline |
|---|---|---|
| 11 | Milestone talent | 20 if all points go in one tree |
| 16 | New milestone talent | 25 |
| 21 | Milestone talent | 30 |
| 31 | Milestone talent | 40 |
In Classic Era your first talent point comes at level 10 and you get one per level after that (Classic Era baseline). The Talented perk can move each step up to 5 levels sooner (Blizzard: Get to Know the Legacy System).
Levelling tips
- Put early points in one tree to hit the 11 and 16 milestones fast.
- Don't spend points on old buff talents; those buffs are now baseline.
- Take Talented on alts once you have Legacy points. See Legacy points.
