WoW Forever Skyborne Mage: racials, faction and changes

29 Oct 2026 (AEDT), from Blizzard's beta notes (updated 26 Oct US) and official articles. Launch: Thu 5 Nov 10:00 AEDT. Unconfirmed = our read or not yet stated by Blizzard; may change at launch.

Mage is open to High Order Skyborne only (Alliance). Blizzard: Alliance-aligned Skyborne "pursue the arcane legacy of their ancestors and gain access to the Mage class". Windshaper (Horde) Skyborne cannot be Mages. Skyborne start on Zephras Isle (levels 1-12).

Skyborne racials for Mages

High Order (Alliance)

Walk on Air, Read Leyline (+50% health and mana regen for 15 sec; Attuned at a Ley Line), Wind Blessed (+2% haste), Elemental Insight.

Racial values are from the 26 Oct beta notes; Blizzard's earlier Skyborne article listed 1% haste, +10% speed and +100% regen. See racial changes.

Unconfirmed pick: Read Leyline (+50% health and mana regen for 15 sec) suits a mana-hungry class; +2% haste helps casting.
