The Green Hills of Stranglethorn — quest guide (Classic Era baseline)
The Green Hills of Stranglethorn is a page-collection quest. Gather the lost pages of Hemet Nesingwary's manuscript and hand them to Barnil Stonepot at Nesingwary's Expedition (35.6, 10.4). Both factions can do it.
Chapters
| Chapter | Pages |
|---|---|
| Chapter I | 1, 4, 6, 8 |
| Chapter II | 10, 11, 14, 16 |
| Chapter III | 18, 20, 21, 24 |
| Chapter IV | 25, 26, 27 |
Gaps are deliberate: pages like 3, 5 and 7 don't exist.
Steps
- Kill mobs across Stranglethorn (humanoids especially). You don't need the quest to loot pages.
- Turn in each chapter as soon as it's complete, to clear bag space.
- Don't abandon the quest while holding chapters. Players report that this deletes them.
- Buy missing pages on the Auction House. Forever prices are unknown.
Rewards (Classic Era baseline)
Jungle Boots, Thick Armor Kit, Superior Healing Potion, plus XP. Forever XP is not confirmed.
Cards: stats from the linked Wowhead Classic item pages, checked 28 Oct 2026. Tooltip: Wowhead (Classic Era data); there's no Forever item database yet.
