Darnassus — WoW Forever
The night elf capital, built on Teldrassil (Wowhead Classic: Darnassus). Blizzard has not announced Forever changes to the city.
| Fact | Detail |
|---|---|
| Faction | Alliance city |
| Continent | Kalimdor (Teldrassil) |
| Layout | Terraces around a central tree, ringed by a lake Classic Era baseline |
| Temple of the Moon | Tyrande Whisperwind, high priestess of Elune Classic Era baseline |
| Cenarion Enclave | Arch Druid Fandral Staghelm, atop the highest tree Classic Era baseline |
Why it matters for levelling
Night elves start on Teldrassil, so Darnassus is the first city most night elf characters see. Later, the route moves to Darkshore on the mainland.
Forever adds a night elf story elsewhere: the Skyborne trace their history to rebels who fled Eldre'Thalas (Wowhead: Forever Zones Overview).
