WoW Forever Protection Warrior Stat Priority

Tooltips: Wowhead Forever DB, exact matches only (build 70532, 28 Oct).
Wowhead wrote this while the beta was capped at 30, so the level 60 picture is their projection [Unconfirmed]. Tested level 60 data: Not yet published, updated at launch.
Wowhead gives three orders. Start balanced and shift toward defence or threat to suit your group.
| Build | Top of the list |
|---|---|
| Defensive | Stamina → Defense to 440 → Armor → Agility → Defense past 440 → Parry → Dodge → Expertise soft cap (6.5%) |
| Balanced | Stamina → Expertise soft cap (6.5%) → Hit 8% → Defense to 440 → Expertise hard cap (14%) → Armor → AP/Strength |
| Offensive | Expertise soft cap → Hit 8% → Expertise hard cap → Crit → AP/Strength → Stamina |

Offensive stat values
Single-target estimates from Wowhead:
| 1% of… | Worth about |
|---|---|
| Expertise, below soft cap | 115 AP |
| Hit, below melee cap | 60 AP |
| Expertise, soft to hard cap | 46 AP |
| Crit | 34 AP |
| Haste | 21 AP |

Why block and expertise matter
- Some talents rely on blocking, and a blocked hit can't crit or crush.
- Expertise reduces boss parries. A parry makes the boss's next swing land 40% sooner.
- Hit and expertise both mean more attacks land, so more rage and steadier threat.
