Name reservation closes today, Blizzard says
Blizzard's official @Warcraft account posted at 9:00am AEDT today (Tue 3 Nov) that Early Name Reservation for WoW Forever closes today, urging players to lock in their three characters before the window shuts.
- Window: Blizzard's announcement lists 27 Oct through 3 Nov. In Australia it opened at 7:00am AEDT Wed 28 Oct.
- Closing time: Blizzard hasn't given one. If it runs to the end of 3 Nov Pacific time, that would be 7:00pm AEDT Wed 4 Nov, but that's our reading of the US date, not a Blizzard statement.
- Limit: up to three characters per account across all rulesets.
- Who: owners of the Skyborne Heroic Pack, Skyborne Epic Pack or Warcraft Forever Collection.
What to do today
If you own a qualifying pack and still have a slot, open the Battle.net app, pick World of Warcraft: Forever under Game Version, choose a ruleset and create your characters now rather than waiting for tomorrow. Remember each full two-part name is unique across your whole region, so have a backup ready. Aussie players heading to the RP or RP-PvP rulesets should check our known issues page first.
Missed it, or only own the base game? You can still create characters when WoW Forever goes live at 10:00am AEDT Thu 5 Nov. Expect popular names to go quickly in the first hour. Full rules and naming tips are on our name reservation guide, and the day-by-day plan is on the launch week schedule.
