WoW Forever launch week schedule and what comes next (AEDT)
Every confirmed date from now to the first raids, in Sydney time where Blizzard gave a time.
Launch week
| Date (AEDT) | What happens |
|---|---|
| Now – 3 Nov | Early name reservation (upgrade editions) |
| Thu 5 Nov, 10:00am | Launch: Normal, PvP, Roleplaying, Roleplay-PvP |
| 4–11 Nov (PST) | Invite-A-Friend Launch Code window |
| 9 Dec (US date) | First raids unlock |
| "Sometime after launch" | Hardcore ruleset |
Blizzard hasn't given AEDT times for the code window's end or the raid unlock, so we've left those as US dates.
First raids: 9 December
| Raid | Size | Bosses | Where |
|---|---|---|---|
| Barrow Deeps | 10 | 8 | Within Mount Hyjal; entrances via Mount Hyjal, Winterspring and Blackmaw Hold |
| Hyjal Summit | 20 | 13 | Summit of Mount Hyjal, near Nordrassil |
| Onyxia's Lair | 40 | – | Dustwallow Marsh |
- All three are level 60, and all are currently planned to reset weekly.
- Onyxia needs attunement: every raider must carry the Drakefire Amulet from a faction quest chain. Start early.
- Bring fire resistance to Onyxia, per Blizzard.
After that
Blizzard's stated aim is roughly four months between major updates, with more raids, dungeons and PvP to follow. That's a plan, not a dated schedule. Release date · What's new
