What's new in WoW Forever? Everything that's different from Classic
WoW Forever is Blizzard's alternate-history vanilla WoW: set after Warcraft III Reforged: Forsaken Kingdom and before Molten Core, on the original continents, level cap 60.
At a glance
- New race: the Skyborne pick Horde or Alliance at creation and start on Zephras Isle (1–12). Skyborne page
- Riverglades: new frontier zone, 150+ new quests, roughly mid-30s to mid-40s.
- New dungeons: including an ogre dungeon in the Riverglades (see Blizzard's dungeons article).
- Rulesets, not realms: Normal, PvP, Roleplaying or Roleplay-PvP at launch; Hardcore later. Rulesets explained

Characters and progression

- Racials rebuilt during the beta, finalised 26–27 Oct. Patch notes
- New race/class combos vanilla didn't allow; check Blizzard's class lists in game for the full set.
- Legacy system: Legacy Points and collections are account-wide across rulesets (see Blizzard's Legacy System article).
Content plan
- The raids you'd expect (Molten Core, Blackwing Lair, Ahn'Qiraj) on a stretched timeline, mixed with brand-new content.
- Stated aim: roughly four months between raid tiers and PvP seasons. An intention, not a fixed schedule.
Launch: 5 Nov 2026, 10:00am AEDT. Launch time
