Your kit

Aimed Shot is baseline in Forever, and the new Summon Hawk spell becomes available at 25 (or 20 with the Legacy system). Wowhead describes the Hawk as dealing an initial hit, then staying as an 18 s guardian that switches to the next target when the first dies. The 16 Oct notes made the Hawk spawn at and stick to the target you cast it on.

Auto Shot

Early beta builds let Auto Shot fire without a cast time, which Blizzard confirmed was a bug. The 16 Oct notes restored the classic behaviour: you have to stand still for 0.5 seconds before Auto Shot fires, although it still fires while you cast Aimed Shot or Sniper Shot. Plan your kiting around that.

Pets

Taming the Beast at level 10 unlocks pets. Tame Beast no longer works on beasts above your level (26 Oct). Wowhead's tester recommends a fast cat with Claw for PvE, but notes that the advice depends on pet bugs that may be fixed by launch. [Unconfirmed]

Rotation at 30

Step	Do this
1	Hunter's Mark if there's time, then Serpent Sting.
2	Summon Hawk whenever it is available.
3	Aimed Shot on single targets, Multi-Shot on packs.
4	Arcane Shot on cooldown.

Talents

At level 30, Wowhead's advice is to put points into whatever increases your damage and your pet's. Beast Mastery's tree includes Unleashed Fury, Ferocity and Summon Hawk (row 4). Exact point maps aren't reproduced. [Unconfirmed]

Professions and ammo

Skinning and Leatherworking unlock new low-level rare leather crafts, many of them bind-on-pickup. Always restock ammo in town.
