Every spec levels the same way early

Heals are on your bar from level 1, Renew from 8 and Flash Heal from 20. The first rows of each tree are generic power, and Wowhead recommends Wand Specialization (Discipline) for questing whatever spec you pick.

The questing loop

Keep Power Word: Fortitude and Inner Fire up.
Power Word: Shield before the pull (from level 6).
Open with Smite, or Holy Fire from level 20.
Mind Blast, then Shadow Word: Pain.
Wand until the mob dies, with Renew on yourself if it hits hard.

Mana only regenerates after 5 seconds without casting until you take Meditation; wanding doesn't reset that timer.

Dungeons

Take the healer slot. Keep Renew on the tank, use Heal as your efficient heal and Flash Heal in emergencies. Skip Power Word: Shield on rage tanks: the absorb can starve them of rage (may change during the beta). [Unconfirmed] Dispel Magic arrives at 18 and Fear Ward is trained for every priest at 20.

Level 30

Prayer of Healing and Divine Spirit (no longer a talent) arrive at 30. With 21 points all in Holy you reach Spirit of Redemption; Prayer of Mending needs 31 points, so it's out of reach in the beta.

Race spells

Priests get race-specific spells from quests at 10 and 20 (for example Desperate Prayer and Chastise for dwarves, Shadowguard for trolls). Wowhead lists Undead's level 20 Dark Sacrifice as coming soon. [Unconfirmed]

Level 30 to 60

Beta caps at 30; no tested route or talent order beyond. Level 30–60 route: Not yet published, updated at launch.
