Tooltips: Wowhead Forever DB, exact matches only (build 70532, 28 Oct).

Levels 1–10

Before you have Bear Form, your damage leans on caster tools. Thorns now scales with your spell power (it reverts to base values if you are too far away), and Wrath's base damage went up about 50% on 26 Oct. Wowhead's beta tester rates spell power as the best stat until about level 20 for that reason.

Levels 10–20: Bear

Bear Form arrives at 10. Bear and Dire Bear now get extra Rage on critical strikes, carry a 50% threat bonus, and every shapeshift form is immune to Disarm. Tanking in Bear Form is the easiest way to get into dungeon groups, and even when you go as damage you should be ready to switch to Bear to save the group.

Levels 20–30: Cat

Shred is learned at 20 (moved down from 22) and Rake follows. That's when Cat goes from two buttons to a real rotation. The new Feral talent Shifting Power (row 4) turns Mana into 40 Energy in Cat Form on a 16 s cooldown, and Improved Shifting Power (row 5) can cut that by up to 8 s. Tiger's Fury no longer exists.

Feral form damage scales with your weapon's DPS, so keep upgrading your weapon even though you never see it swing.

Talent priorities at 30

Wowhead's tester recommends two Feral paths: a pure damage build, and a hybrid that keeps Feral Swiftness and Feral Charge for movement and can still tank. Both can take Improved Shifting Power in place of Leader of the Pack. Exact point maps aren't reproduced here. [Unconfirmed]

With Legacy Talented points, the extra points go to Improved Shifting Power and/or Leader of the Pack first. Blood Frenzy and Natural Instinct are weak at 30 because you have so little crit.

Camping

Camp Chair (Skinning) is the easiest camp buff for Feral to get, but it adds nothing once you have Leader of the Pack. Fish Bowl, Lodestone and Sharpening Wheel are the alternatives.

Level 30 to 60

Beta caps at 30; no tested route or talent order beyond. Level 30–60 route: Not yet published, updated at launch.

Points at 60: 51 [Unconfirmed]; evidence on the class talents page.
